Amateur Auckland Group (West aucks actually)

Hey all. I have been administrating a small group of investigators for three years now and our membership has dropped off considerably due to study, change in location and or overseas travel. I decided to put a wee mention up here to see if anyone in West Auckland would like to come meet me and my wife/other members for a coffee and perhaps join us on some of our investigations.

We have been allowed to visit Alberton House, Mt Albert....Auckland UniTech in Carrington (that was wicked fun!) and a few private residences in the past and hope this year to visit the museum, a couple of Ponsonby houses that have developed some notoriety and maybe even travel to Paihia to investigate a cemetary from pre the last century.

If you are keen and live locally, feel free to drop me a pm. We have lots of equipment and spare stuff to lend out if you dont have any stuff. We even have a couple of trifield meters (which are really hard to find cheap).

I didn't know there was such a group in West Auckland. If I had known...!!!

Take note, I can't drive due to crappy eyesight. I can't judge distances due to Astigma. So I can't get to your place.

I visited there as a child and I still remember the well.......something bout that well.........

I would definately be keen on the auckland domain, as its a pretty strange feeling that pervades a fair whack of that thatch...actually I just wanted to use those words together...lol

Hey Miss Nerd, we could pick you up but we will have to make it the following weekend, saturday if that suits as we are now going to spend this weekend at home and some of the team are away or unavailable.

What say we all agree on a day and place and anyone who needs a lift can say so here?

It's ok. I've decided not to go as I've got quite a bit to do... housework, cat feeding, cleaning, design some posters for some events at work and mainly rest my poor ankle.

Hey Cruizie - Of course we will! We have recently lost a couple of members to overseas travel but there were always people either in training or coming into the group from other groups. At the moment we are discussing becoming a part of a much larger group that will attempt to cater to the nation rather than locally. Its going to be very interesting times ahead...

Send me a PM to discuss meeting if ya like. We dont mind a very public meeting or you would be welcome to come out west for a visit.
