May you live a long life
Full of gladness and health,
With a pocket full of gold
As the least of you wealth.
May the dreams you hold dearest,
Be those which come true,
The kindness you spread,
Keep returning to you.

"An Irish Blessing"
May the road rise up to meet you, May the wind be ever at your back, May the sun shine warm upon your face, And the rain fall soft upon your fields, And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of his hand

God bless the corners of this house and all the lintel blessed,
And bless the hearth and bless the board and bless each place of rest,
And bless each door that opens wide to strangers as to kin,
And bless each crystal window pane that lets the starlight in,
And bless the rooftree overhead and every sturdy wall.
The peace of man. The peace of God. With peace and love for all.

Oh, greyghost, I do not know what to say. It is a bit upside down perhaps and I have to explain a bit. I have been a singer in a choir since my earliest childhood. Last year I had my 25th jubilee there in the choir.
Five years ago I organized some new choir literature for my fellow singers which was entitled "Irischer Segenswunsch" (means Irish blessings).

And the text runs: Mögen Gottes Wege sich für deine Füße ebnen (may gods ways flattened for your feet), mögest du den Wind im Rücken haben (may you have the wind in your back), möge dir die Sonne dein Gesicht bescheinen (may the sun shine on your face) und möge der Regen dir deine Felder tränken (and may the rain water your fields).

The refrain runs: Und bis wir uns wiedersehen, und bis wir uns wiedersehen, möge Gott seine schützende Hand über dir halten.
(and until we meet us again, and until we meet us again, may God hold his protecting hand above you.)

The song is the German text to this blessing. I am glad to have found this here.
