Kiwilady would like to do an investigation at Wiakumete cemetery. If you are interested put your name here. Kiwilady will contact you with the details.

Update!

I have to pull out of this one due to the fact I've had an accident. This morning I fell down the stairs and tore a ligament in my left foot. Walking is now very painful and I'm now strapped up and hobbling with a stick.
So if there are enough numbers made up from other people, I wanna review here posted here.

Gawd! It'll take a few months before I can walk without the stick. :(

Hey Kiwilady, put me back on the list. As long as I don't stress out the foot, it'll be ok for me. I'll take a stick.

Will you tell us later on as to what we need to take with us?

Yay Supe!! and Pooke!!

I've just sent messages to a couple of members and alerted them to this thread. It looks like this could actually go ahead. The provisional date is Sat 21 Feb. As it appears we will have members who do not want to be there in the dark I would suggest that we go from late afternoon till after dark.

As no-one knows anyone I think it is best to be fairly casual about this investigation while we just get to know one another and see what equipment we have between us. We seem to have a resonable mix of experience and newbies so I think it could be quite interesting!! Don't worry if you don't have any equipment although a camera (at least) would be handy and make the investigation more interesting for you.

I'm not actually organising it as such, co-ordinating is probably a better description for it.

The date and time can be changed at this stage but I guess I will have to confirm them by next week. If you are definatley coming can you please confirm here over the week.

Later in the week we can discuss what equipment we have available. If anyone has any suggestions for wants to add something or change anything this is the place to do it :D

WOOHOOO THIS IS ACTUALLY GOING TO HAPPEN :D :D :D

Thanks
Barbara

I was thinking along the lines of sunblock, insect repellent, water, food....

I'm leaving behind the video camera, as I need to get some work done on obtaining a Infra Red light it. Found a place in NZ which sells 'em... at a price!!!
But I do have two digital cams. :D

I am also really keen! My name is Frank and I am a 34yr old investigator (of course amateur) but I have checked in waikumete quite regularly over the last couple of years and found it to be quite an active and satisfying experience. My wife will probably come along too! I have Digital cameras (x4) laser thermometers and a trifield meter plus four two way radios...so if anyone needs gear, I have some to lend for the evening. Please let me know if I can come along with you!

Regards
Frank

Aw Pooke! Would it make a difference if we changed the date by a week or two? It would be great if you could come.

OH I wish I could come.....

as a smallchild before we moved up north I use to wander around that cemetery....I lived opposite it in Sabulite Rd........approx 28 yrs later I christened my first born in that tiny wee chapel...that was 8 years ago and I still remember walking so far then being unable to go any further.......

Cant make that weekend but could make the following one !!!!

Believer you may not too late. We haven't been yet and you are third person to say you would like to come but can't make that weekend.

Supe and Franklee how does March 7 sound to you instead of 21 Feb? (With no changes after that if others can't come - or we could go on changing forever!) What do you two think?
