UPDATE:

Some new names to add to the list:

Madeleine Moore
Duncan Shannon
Harley Jones

These three new people have also passed the checks and are friends of two of the members of this site.

nicole's boyfriend has had to pull out as something urgent came up and took him away from us.

Also, no more applicants as we now have 8 people in total, which is just perfect. :D Anymore and it'll start to become cumbersome.

Now you all know what the next step is... start planning on what you're taking, equipment, food, drink, stories, sanity, esp, etc...etc...
I've already packed some stuff into a cabin bag of mine for the hunt.

*watches Kiwilady wriggle in her seat with excitement*

Aye! It would be good if you could come, but Christchurch is a wee bit too far from Auckland.

I hope one of the group above can take notes, as I'm a lousy note-taker. ie: I don't take any. :)

Details:

Well, the hunt starts at 8.30pm, I'll arrive at my workplace at approx 7.30pm in which I'll be arranging a few things ready. Saaaaaay.... Come between 7.45pm and 8.30pm. Best to come before 8.30 as to get gear set up and such stuff.

Go through the main doors into the main foyer. As you pass through the doors, there is a staircase on the left. I'll be half way up those stairs watching everything. You'll see me. :D

Now how will I recognise all of you though, that is the problem. :P

Recognisable by all the EMF meters hanging out of their pockets?

I've decided that the hunt should be in the bar and verandah area only, as the cafe area has very little activity. So we'll use the cafe area as a base for us to natter, time out and also eat. A crew room you could say. I'll get the Verandah door to the bar area open, so that we don't disturb any eating, gossiping and whinging cops that come in to the cafe area to eat. I'll put a sign up on the bar doors asking us not to be disturbed.
On the verandah, if you see something human like surrounded by a mist, don't be alarmed. It's only a cop or a civilian shift worker out for a fag.

I'm also wondering if there is a member of the party that hasn't got any equipment but will like to get involved in the action? I am looking for someone to take notes. I'll supply the pad and pen. (I'm a lousy note taker. :P )

Now most of the people in the station don't know about the little haunting. As they're either not sensitive, narrow minded or just don't bother visiting upstairs. (There's a spare mealroom downstairs also, but that's haunted by hordes of crickets at this time of year )

*whimpers with pleasure* Banana cake!!! With or without chocolate? If it's without chocolate, it'll be hoovered up by me. *drools*

I've found out that everyone needs to sign a visitors book when they come in. This will enable you all to wear a sticker saying "Visitor". Wow!!!!
In reality, if you wear this sticker, the cops will not harass you and ask questions such as: Who are you? Are you authorised.... etc. Without it, one may find one either gracing the cells or sitting outside the main entrance.
I'll see if I can grab the book for this moment.

I've managed to find a key for the bar verandah door. Whether it's the right one, we'll see! If not, there's gonna be a lot of trudging to and from the verandah via the long way round. ;)

*watches kiwilady bounce off the walls with excitement*

Hello Honey, I'm ho-ome!

Yep! The investigation side is over with. And a great time was had by all. I've got to know several people:

Kiwilady and her rather delicious Banana Cake. You missed out on a treat there Bluezone. It was great talking to you Kiwilady. I really enjoyed your company.
Nicole and her friends. You were all wonderful that night and great fun.
franklee and his rather enthusiastic friend. You both provided quite a few laughs, and a wealth of experience. I'll be very interested in the results of your experience. Have you found anyone yet with an EMF field matching mine yet? I hoped I've provided some help during the investigation.

I have to admit, my turkey and mustard sandwiches seem to be haunted themselves, for they sure disappeared quick.

I'm not going to give a synopsis of what happened. As I said, I'm a lousy note taker and didn't take any. I'll leave that for the people who did take the notes. *looks at franklee*

Hmmmm! I did notice the absence of Pooke. Where were you mate? I waited for ages for you, and you didn't turn up.
I even left a message at the front counter to get someone to show you up and let you in, if you turned up.

Hope the night was good. :) Did you find anything interesting?

Thanks for organising the night Supe.

It was great to meet everyone and put some faces to the names we see on the boards! We weren't particulary sucessful with our ghosthunting (no obvious sightings of the ghosty) but I've got some great video of cops butts, Franklees face and paint drying!

With a bit of luck Franklees video may have caught something.

Kiwilady, You forgot the picture of the cop monkey-dancing in front of the camera. That one you've got to show to the others. I wouldn't mind a clip of that as well... to show the said cop.

The night was good, we all had a good time getting to know each other and passing ghost stories. There were a few thing that happened that made a few of us go "What the...?"

And my first attempt at mediumship had a few interesting moments.

I hope franklee will post something down here about the night. His pal had been taking notes, while the rest of us were blundering about.
But anyway, we were promised that we will get the results of his findings. *crosses fingers, toes, arms, legs and eyes*

Hey gals...Yep I have been collating! Collate collate coll....thud.

Any idea how long six hours of tape takes to observe? Dont say six hours...thats rude! Yes six hours. I have one item on video thats quite interesting. Im going to send it to the pc then have a proper look and if Im still quite weirded out, Ill send it somewhere we can all watch it.

There are shadows beside the bar area when we are all out taking a break, about three hours into our investigation. Two standing side by side, however they are only present for three frames of video...so its pretty strange stuff.

Thanks again Supernerd for a great night and it was lovely meeting everyone!

Especially my turkey and mustard sandwiches. You sure hoed into them. LOL! But I must admit, I found the sandwiches enjoyable. I found myself wanting more when I ran out.

It was great meeting you all, and it was a very interesting night. Even if we did break up at 11.30pm instead of 1.00am. Things had started to slow down and we were all knackered.

I feel I would have gotten more information if I hadn't been playing a computer game before I came to the station. My mind was a bit overstimulated, and that makes bad reception. Now I know... I'll learn from it. :)

I forgot to say...

If anyone wants to have another go at investigating the bar at work, let me know. I might be able to wangle more permission, as the bosses were very interested.
Must be with a small group though...
