Not me - but I like to think I follow and believe some of the doctrines.

I'm not but some of the things I do makes people think that I'm Wiccan. In reality I'm of no religion. I just follow my own path, and I seem to be helped there by spirits and other higher beings. Can't say what they were... :)

I am not Wiccan, but i do believe in "What you give you receive." and that "What you wish upon others, comes back three times fold."

So be careful folks on just what you wish for.

I am definately not a Wiccan at all....sorry for reacting and thinking so. But I believe like you, GG, in those two principles above and that they might have their tight grip on those who failed them. Sounds hard but it is my wish.

I practise some things of the Wiccan range like using crystals, herbs, oils. I also believe in old Pagan tradition like the Yrminsul. Moreover, I enjoy power and force of nature out of different reasons, like magic, mystery (I do not know how to explain the feeling of power that penetrates me at certain force pole places, like Stonehenge, Mont St.Michel, Externsteine), well and I like to absorb power of nature like from storms, water and earth for some kind of wellbeing and bridging some pranic cravings.....Well that is what probably let people think I could be Wiccan.

There was a time when I was called "Wiccan" without knowing what it is or is about. I was proud of it, being called so and practising some things of their magic / art. But when I got to get known to different Wiccans I first learned them to hate and could reduce that later on to "some" dislike.

That does not go against all Wiccans and I apologize if someone might have felt hurt by my words. I accept what they are doing when they will leave me in peace. They can win back my trust in them by doing a lot and really demonstrate me that they firmly believe and behave/act according to their own laws given and are really practising Wiccan rede and rule.

To this belong the two principles GG has mentioned as well as the so-called Wiccan tolerance. They really showed me how they like and accept otherkin people by throwing me out of their forums for being what I am and there was no way to apply to their so-called Wiccan tolerance or religious tolerance as well....and some others thought lying into my face would be good. I dearly wish that all what they gave to me will come at least threefold back to them.

Sorry again, and I am still hoping that not all of them are like those.

P.S.: I do not know if I could write this here as a suggestion: But perhaps it would be an idea to create an otherkin-thread....as far as I have seen there is a separate thread about (guardian) angels and a separate one about pixies which all forms part of otherkin people. Well, and pixies are not animals (so do not belong to the cryptozoology) *lol* Well, I am neither angel nor pixy but otherkin as well.

As to define it a bit more: To otherkin people belong pixies, fairies, angels, elves, fae, vampires, werevolwes, dragons, gryffons, unicorns, demons etc. even born witches as well. Otherkin are non-human souls inhabiting a human body. This could be by birth with two otherkin parents or by re-incarnation.
Otherkin define themselves by the heptagram (the acute one). And according to their kin by a second symbol as well.

I do not know if that could find a place in this off-topic-section here below. So, I just mentioned it in short....

Wabun, sounds like those other "Wiccans" you mention are a bit dark. Not true Wiccans, just Wannabe's who just like the idea but don't follow the principles. :)

Well, I totally agree with you in this point. I am really looking forward to meeting sometime some "true" ones.....

I was wiccan at one point, but due to my parents being so....hmm....my vocabulary fails me at this point in time.
Anyway, they didn't like it, so that was the end of it. But I still believe that you should act with best intentions.

I too have had very disappointing experiences. *sigh* I spent years and years very passionately and fervently following a spiritual path only to realise I was just....... deluded. It takes a strong person to realise they have made a mistake and start again. The thing I have come to realise is that my path is about me, my loved ones, my God and the Universe and that is it. There are a lot of crappy people out there who walk these paths only seeking power and control and trying to manipulate people and..... there are always going to be these types. People who are disingenuous and have hidden motives. Once you come across a few you learn how to spot them rather well. Never forget there are good people out there too!!!! As for darkness- we all have our dark moments and we all make mistakes, darkness is relative is it not? There are many different types of Wiccans, Witches and other magickal practitioners as there are different types of Christians and other religious faiths.

Karma...yes my thoughts exactly. Treat people how we wish to be treated and take responsibility for our own mistakes.

Ive spent many years exploring many different magicakal and spiritual paths etc. Wicca was something I really gravitated to when I was younger and I really loved it but I felt I out grew it and went on to discover other spiritual teachings and paths....

Over the years my experiences with various pagan/magickal types of people and groups just made me realise that I prefer to do my own thing and I am quite a solitary very eclectic non conformist and un traditional sort of person. *g*
