A few weeks ago I went to the man-made Beer Caves http://www.beerquarrycaves.fsnet.co.uk/BEERQ~S/Beer_Quarry_Cx.html in Devon on the South West Coast of England.

I had taken several pics inside the caves and only one of them showed what looks like a cluster of orbs. There were the odd lights, but not many, so not sure that it's reflective. A lot of history in these caves and deaths as well. What do you think?Image

Personally I think it's dust, there is always a lot of dust in the air in caves and enclosed spaces.

Thanks for feedback. As I mentioned, I had taken several shots, before and after that particular one. When I take shots of reportedly haunted places, I usually try to eliminate any potential logical explanantion, but can't explain those. In this particular place, there has been at least two reported sightings of ghosts and must be a lot of residual energy present.

Also, I went to Dorchester, the town where notorious Judge Jefferies presided during the sentensing over the Monmouth rebellion. There was a room in the old courthouse(now a pub), that was extremely uninviting....a place I had to leave in a hurry. Did not have a pre-conceived idea of the goings-on, but who knows...maybe I'm convincing myself of presences. What do you think Greyghost?

Oh yes, places like that can leave me feeling quite ill. I try to avoid certain type of places. I think that would be on my list of no no's.

I was going to say that the picture you posted is a classic example of dust particulate, specially in the way it bunches together and is matrixing into groups closely bunched together towards the center of the shot. The reasons for this are as follows. Dust has a magnetic field usually generated by environmental effects such as your entrance into the cave. Particulate is drawn to larger particulates and although some of these are invisible to the naked eye they appear quite vividly in shots where a flash has been utilised and even without flash, if there is sufficient backlight, dust can make all sorts of amazing patterns. Also generally speaking, orbs (energy balls) tend to self illuminate, so without a flash you will catch them just as well as you would with a flash. I have literally hundreds of photos like the one you posted that are full of dust, but I hope you will continue to take pictures because real orbs in pictures are few and far between! Also I wanted to say that your story about the judge and the room is really kewl! I have been in a couple of places like that and the sensation is extraordinary! How long did you spend in the rooms? What was the feeling like? Did it come on suddenly or slowly creep up on ya? Thanks for the story.

Cool, thanks for that you two. And interesting re the dust, but makes sense.

As for the room...was upstairs, like a function room or something with tastefully decorated tables, etc. I did a recon into the room to check it out, but within a couple of minutes felt uneasy and uncomfortable, so started to walk out. Decided to try again in case I was creating the feeling in my own mind. Can't explain it...just didn't like being there despite the fact that it was visually quite an amazing space :). Have to say, if I had the opportunity, would have loved to stay the night in that building. Maybe next time.... :)

I've been to Boscastle. There's a witches museum there also. Fascinating! Maybe it's the same museum, as Boscastle is also around Devon/Cornwall area. :)
