New Zealand Ghosts & Other Haunts

Hey, i'm 14 and ever since i was born i've been able to see things, shadows, full bodied apparitions and have always felt a presence around me, almost wherever i go,i also can tell when things are going to happen, i get feelings off people, and i can tell where people are born and have lived, this scares me, am i haunted? or is it something else?

welcome to the sensitives club. That's pretty much what I've lived with all of my life. It's nothing to be afraid of, there are some interesting articles on the forum that can help you to deal with it. The main thing is to accept is as part of who you are and work with it.

Ummm, is a senseitive like a medium or something?

Hi Phositis! I had very similar experiences to you when I was younger. I knew stuff before it happened, I could tell things about people I didn't know & felt presences around me. I didn't understand it at all then & I still don't really but don't be scared what I did discover was that it is a good thing - always trust your intuition. Your not haunted & it's not that uncommon!

I guess you could try and find someone to mentor you & help explain what's going on, I wanted to understand it more but I never got the chance to talk to anyone about it. Being on this forum should help put you in contact with people who can help

Okay thank's Barrenmel, it helps to know it's not uncommon, actually i had a very strange experience last night, i was in a very deep sleep and woke up to see a shadowy figure standing at my bed side, this is the most common spirit i see, i don't know who or what it is, i don't get a chance to talk to it or anything it's really weird, it doesn't like me moving or talking, if i move it fades away, if i talk it fades away, did you have a shadow person following you around?

No, I never saw the spirit that haunted my house but I always knew when it came in the room - it had a very strong, heavy presence. I never interacted with it becuase I was just a child & didn't know what it was but one night it blew in my ear - Freaked me out so badly I had to sleep with blankets right up over my head for years after!! I'm hoping to get in to my old house before it's sold and see if the spirit is still there & see if we can find anything out about who it was.

Are you frightened of your shadow person? Are they threatening?

Yeah, this has a very heavy pressence, it doesn't feel that threatening, but it is very scary, out of all the things i've seen this is the most frightening, it's pressence makes me very tired, it's funny, even in pitch black darkness i can still see it, it blocks out the darkness its so dense lol, could you move when you were being visited by this spirit? because sometimes i can't move at all, other times i can, when i can't thats when it's the most scary.

my daughter (15yrs old)can see,hear,feel and talk to spirits -- she also sees aura around people......anyway --- she was followed by a shadow figure last year....it would stand at the end of her bed,sit on the bed,tap the bedhead.....the last straw was when it followed her to school and watched her through the classroom door window....this was when she opened up and told us everything...how she'd seen people others don't all her life and also couldn't stand to have the curtains of a room open as many figures would stand outside the windows an look at her....this was when I took her to talk to a local medium (barry newman) so she could gain some skills on how to deal with the shadow figure who she suspected was her grandad --- barry agreed that it was her grandad and gave her some tips on how to deal with the spirits that come to her......she's a lot happier now.

That's really interesting, because that's pretty much is whats been happening to me in the month i've been gone from this forum, but now thanks to your post i've actually got some proof that i'm not crazy!

you're not crazy....it's actually not that strange - people just don't talk about it......barry (the medium) told me I was gifted to and that got me thinking as I have seen people who were there but in a split second were gone and I've also heard stuff but up until that point had always explained a way out of it. My daughter also sees people and figures in video others don't - like in this footage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QjrEkG870ko she sees people on the swings......she also sees figures in ghost footage where others see lights.orbs,etc
