New Zealand Ghosts & Other Haunts

I also had dreams and encounters with a spirit whose face I could never see but who has manifested to others during daylight and been identified positively as me. On at least one occasion 'he'has spoken to someone (my former mother-in-law) after calling them by name from a crowd, he also called my then wife by name that same day; at the time I was in another city some 40 miles away (I know this because my ex wife called me at the time as she thought I ran away from her). On other occasions. Now how do I know it's the same entity? Well in Barcelona in 1997 I encountered this doppleganger myself, well I was with my then partner who saw him and drew my attention to him. We were on the Metro, at the end by one of the windows, he was in the carriage in front, also by the window. She saw him and grabbed my arm to make me look; I saw the figure, dressed and built as I was, same hair but his facial features were not clear to me; at the time I attributed this to reflection on the window or something (I only made the connection later) but she swore he looked exactly like me (and she had prefect vision too)...I did not see him but I did recognise his signature (I sense different spirits and can feel their unique signature as it were....that's one thing....the link above is another.


My strangest 'ability' is this though; throughout my life I have known future events in my life and been able to sense dangerous or bad events before they ocurred, sometimes years before. I have had Four major events I have 'predicted' in my life and three have come to pass exactly as I predicted; when and where I would meet my first girlfriend (just before making the journey to move there), we had a long distance relationship and I knew the last time I saw her would be just that, when my son would be born (only as far as the year and month) and he was NOT planned I'm afraid!! Finally I know the exact time, place and manner I will die (but choose not to disclose here). That's my third 'talent' I have never had dreams or visions, never heard voices or similar; I just suddenly know something I did not know before; it just drops into my head like a memory!

Finally I can sense and detect sprirts. I can walk into a place I have never been before and immediately sense the presence of a spirit or ghost in that place. I get a sensation like a 'jiggling' on my third eye; more a pulling and pressure at my temples. I also seem to be able to tell certain spirits apart; I can feel and remember the 'signature' or feel of a certain spririt and recognise it if I encounter it again. I have seen spirits once or twice but usually I see something which will be hard to explain. I call it "grey shadow". I see a shadow which isn't actually really there. During the day it's pretty much a disturbance in the air with something like a shadow underneath what is there (have you seen The Abyss or Donnie Darko? The shadows I see seem to be made of that kind of wierd substance; you'll know the parts I mean if you've seen the movies)....once I saw a shape. I experimented with a friend to intentionally seek something, a spirit in her house. I concentrated and saw one of my grey shadows in the shape of a small animal scurrying around the table. When I focussed on it it seemed to me to be a dog which I preceded to describe (one of those little round-faced fuzzy dogs, don't know the breed...bijon frizz lol or something)...she went white in the face (which was hard as she's Spanish!) and when to her room, coming back with a photo of said type of dog (I then regretted my references to 'rat dog' but hey) who had died in the house well before I met her! That is the one and only time I did that though (because it shocked me!).

My last thing is weird and I'm unsure as to weather to mention it, but I shall. Several years ago I met a girl on an internet chatroom and we became friends. We exchanged IM addresses and eventually phone numbers, chatted for hours and generally got on famously. Then, one day, I got a sensation of extreme pressure on my temples and also on the area slightly behind my temples and then had the inescapable feeling that this person was very upset and needed to speak to someone. I called her and found out that it was the anniversary of her father's death and she had been sat meditating and shuffling her tarot cards when she became upset and was still crying when I called. This happened several times over a number of months (we have since fallen out of touch and I can no longer verify any 'feelings'), she even began to sense when I was upset in the same way. Once I tested "the link" as we called it. I had an interview for a great job one day and had of course told her about it, and she'd aksed me to text her when it was over so she could see how it'd gone. Instead I tried this out; I focussed on the "link" and felt the familiar feeling; I thought them in my mind "you can call me now" and then my phone rang and it was her!! This was not the only time something similar to this happened either.

Altogether I have experienced a lot of things and seem to have a number of 'gifts' but then, my family history is full of people who are so talented and some who have been called witches (one ancestor was even burned as a witch!) so maybe it runs in the family? But I have been told by my gran that no men have had "the witch blood" as she calls it.

Any ideas? My ability to just "know" things is the bit that most interests me though, to be honest.

You are a sensitive, have you considered looking into expanding you abilities. There are groups on-line that will give you more insight and training into the subject.

I have but there is a strange thing...I have a barrier in my mind which i see as a wall glowing from inside.....I've tried to access my abilities but for some reason I cannot. I do sometimes get the feeling that this is not yet the time?

Would training or honing help circumvent this barrier?

In part some of the scary experiences I had with shadow people in the post I included the link for have made me afraid of leaving myself exposed....

what would you call the thing where I just know things though; it's not clairvoyance, or clairaudience but some thing else...I suppose precognition?

Oh that's a difficult one, I don't know of any particular person here in NZ Sometimes you can find a genuine medium at a spiritual church. They are a good place to start. There are a couple of online courses that can be done in the USA. I like Loyd Auerbach in San Francisco. And I'm a fan of James Van Prague they both have web sites that you might find useful.

Ive had de javu' for years now. I see things in dreams or my minds eye. If they are in dreams i tend to forget until i become aware of the same situation starting to happen. If its my minds eye i tend to get weirded out and watch things happen like ive seen and be blown away. I always get strong feelings in my gut of unpleasant events about to happen. This i explained to my fire team in Iraq when i was there with the Army and it honestly saved us from being hit by an IED one day.
Unsure if its something alot of people can or do experience. I do know my mother has dreams, like shes sees my uncle in a plane which is flying upside down, this predates a bad event happening to the family.
Odd i know, but i would love to extend any "skill" i have if i even do have said skill.
Maybe im just an old soul. This has been mentioned many times before too.
It intreques me.
