What are your own personal experiences if any???

ive got a few evps, from various investigations. always interesting to hear, they almost send shivers up your spine the first few times you hear one cos if your not expecting it, it catches you off guard. i remember shooting a episode of nzpi tv, at a location i cant say, and we had a film crew with us (sound guy, camera man, directer and producer) they were interviewing brad at the time and the sound guy Freaked out saying "HOLY SH**! did you hear that?" no one heard anything, he played it back and there was a huge scream, like someone in some really intense pain. he heard it i guess because he standing there holding the huge boom mic with earphones on recording and listening in real time to the digitally converted audio. it was amazingly clear, and very yuk to listen to lol.

Wonder where that piece of EVP is right now.... Love to hear it. MRDOCA, have you got any you can post?

This is one not so clear at the beginning and then at the end "you're yelling you need to be more quiet" can be heard in response to my question "can you hear me"

Some friends of mine have agreed with me and also hear these the same as I do but some dont. I have learnt that we all hear really differently. I have also recorded and thought what I captured was completely different to what I originally thought when I listen to it at a later date.

Interesting my virus scanner doesn't like that site, or those links.

Thats perhaps because there a few popups ads on the site......because its a free upload site. There are no viruses.

Again people may hear this one differently and it is best heard using ear phones but this one can be very clearly heard without headphones imo.

Well that is interesting! I dont hear what you hear (Hells coming) but I'm not one to insist that "my way is the right way" so I am rather baffled now. I am always open and to others interpretations and infact rather like it, it is most helpful. Of course when others agree with you and hear what you hear that is great but and when others hear something totally different or worst case, nothing at all, it can be confusing. In your case you hear what I hear and something else which is even more intriguing.

I have never recorded any negative evp although some have been slightly "questionable", after much listening and thinking I still would not deem them negative as such. I have never ever had a negative experience while I have been recording, infact it has all been very, very positive. Sorry if what you heard disturbed you in anyway- I would never post any negative evp because I am aware of how unsettling they are to listen to for some people. I hope it wasnt to "creepy" for you. I have been doing this for sometime now so for me it is always a positive experience and I am so used to the voices they do not bother me. I do often get some very bizarre miscellaneous sounds and strange sounding voices, but nothing sinister or in any way at all negative. Most of the voices I get currently seem to be from the same few entities, energies or spirit people, the voices sound the same and speak pretty much every time I record. Some sessions are better than others, I have no idea why, I wonder about atmospheric conditions etc. I always hear voices but sometimes I will get nothing very clear for sometime and when I will do a session and it will be filled with them. The voices have gotten much clearer over time and as I have recorded more regularly but they were there from the every beginning and I feel their presence, thats why I started recording, I can feel their energy build when I am recording. I record at home or at friends houses or wherever, anywhere and everywhere really.


I know other researchers wonder if sometimes the messages can change once they are recorded (which seems to me rather unlikely) and if they differ for each person personally who may be listening to it. I know after recording a message and editing sometimes I am left with a message which is completely different to what I originally thought, and I really do very little editing, just basic stuff to keep the recordings authenticity. I have deleted many many evp in the past because although it is clear there is a voice it is just not clear enough and I refuse to massively edit it.

"I Feel Worse"

I asked them how they were and I got a capture of 2 guys talking to each other with what sounded like one asking "how do you feel?" (it wasnt so clear) and another replying "I feel worse". Both voices are the ones featured in the other clips I have posted. This one is quite clear (imo) and can be heard with or without headphones. Recorded yesterday.

Cheers Briah! That's really interesting!! No, I wasn't creeped out at all, I used it as a figure of speech!! I'm really intrigued by EVP's. I wish I'd done some at my mum's old house but it's sold now. I think they are down to interpretation, just like anything. In that last one, I hear Voice #1 "how do you feel?"& Voice #2 "worse." so it goes to show how slight variations can make a difference. I wonder if EVPs are like the audible versions of Pareidolia? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareidolia Although that wouldn't explain why how some of them are just too clear and some of them respond to questions. Some more investigation is called for I think.

Pareidolia is something that should most certainly be taken into consideration and is a very likely explanation for some evp but not one that is explainable for all evp imo. When others agree and also hear the same thing, how does one explain that? Sure there are different very rational theories explaining the cause of evp but they can not be the cause in all cases. The voices can respond to questions, converse with each other and say your name - there is definitely some sort of conscious exchange happening! :] It does get frustrating and I do wonder if I have just lost my mind but I really do not think so :] Other people have shared in my experiences and drawn the same conclusions. I am aware that "they" (the voices) get frustrated too. It takes so much time and energy to get such short and very limited answers to my questions in my recordings but it is better than nothing. I imagine I will be experimenting and researching evp for a long time.

For sure! Perhaps we could get a group of us together at some point and record? I am currently trying to get my hands on a ghostbox and new voice recorder :] It would be nice to get together and do some sessions.

I'm actually coming to auckland early December to meet up with Kiwilady, we're planning on doing some evp amonst other things. I'll PM you the details. I live in Whangarei so not local unfortunately! But would like to get some sessions under my belt
