There's plenty of tramps in the Auckland Domain, but some them may protest if you grabbed one and investigated him. ;)

*looks innocently at GG*

There's always the Waitakere Ranges: West Auckland's unofficial grave site, judging by the people that go missing up there, or are murdered.
:P ;)

Further to my last post - the house will be empty from this Friday, I'm not sure how long it will be empty for (it's on the market & we're looking for tenants).

I'd like to know if anyone, Franklee, Supernerd, et al, would be interested in coming up North & investigating this site. It really is a great location in that it is empty, (although fully furnished!!), it has a 100 year old history & paranormal occurances and it's rather plush!!! It would be a great training ground & It won't be available for investigation after it is sold so I would love to do this before then.

I'd love to, but I've got no transport and I need to know the date so that if it's on a working day, I can apply for leave.

SN: maybe someone else from the team who's interested & in Auckland will kindly offer to pick you up :) :)

At this stage dates of availability are:

25 July
1 Aug
8 Aug
29 Aug
5 Sep

These are all saturday nights to give out of towners time to drive up (only 1.5 hours away now!!!!) Also, dates all depend on if the property gets new tenants.

Please let me know what dates suit & who's interested. Cheers!

Hi, you Wellingtonians, has anyone been to the old fever ward up on Mt Vic? That is a very spooky place a morbid history but I think is now private property. Also there is the old Erskine College in Island Bay. My mother believes the old building to be haunted (usual story about a suicidal nun) and have you seen it!! Looks like it belongs in the Addams family!

I think I wrote about this somewhere else on the forum, but not sure where... so, here goes. I'm naturally very practical and scientifically minded, however, unexplainable things happened alot when I was younger but I just accepted them as part of life. My parents home is a 100year old villa in Whangarei. Without doubt there was something there. As a child I didn't particularly like this entity, but I didn't question it, I thought it was just normal. While I was playing it would come into the room, you could feel the atmosphere change. Many of my friends hated this particular room in the house, I didn’t disclose my experience to them until years later as it felt like a personal thing, something you don’t talk about so I was always slightly intrigued when other people noticed the strange atmosphere in the room or even the house.

I never saw anything visually but the most frightening experience was when I was about 10 or 11. I slept on the top bunk bed and one night I woke up and knew ‘it’ was there beside the bed. It was different this night to the others, it seemed more intense, more frightening. I was facing the wall and the only way to describe it, was that a cool long breath blew into my ear. I could feel the hair around my ear move with the force. It absolutely terrified me. I curled up under the blankets & in the morning went & asked mum if she came in, in the night & blew in my ear (she must have thought I was weird!!) She of course said no. I checked the windows but they were firmly shut. I was so traumatised by it I wasn’t able to sleep with my ears exposed right up into my teens, even when staying at someone else’s house.

I recently asked my sister if she thought the house was haunted & she said yeah maybe there was something there. (I always thought she denied it so that was interesting!) Also, my little brother used to have hysterical nightmares where he would actually rip the wallpaper off the wall behind him, these went on for a good few years, he was always afraid of the boogie man & of course - his bedroom was the same room I felt the presence in! But of course - he could just have been having nightmares :)

I've asked other people what they feel in the house & most people have an uneasy feeling about some part of the house!

Hi everyone - this is on hold now, at least for a few weeks, possibly months. Mum has rented the property, which is great for her, but not great for us. I have advised Franklee that when it becomes available we may only have a window of a couple of weeks to organise the investigation so hopefully it wil still work for those who are interested.

Sorry about that guys. Will keep you all posted. We will get in there!!!!!

Update: The window has shrunk to a crevice, being the house is empty now only until Monday 31 August when the new owner takes possession of the property. We have permission to invesitgate the house this weekend, preferably Saturday night. I can offer accommodation for 3, possibly more if need be.

If you can make it at such short notice please get in contact with me as soon as possible! Cheers Mel.
